This is pretty much "Miles Davis, the female version". Well loved, well respected, and just doesn't do it for me.

She had an excellent voice, no one is really going to argue against that, but it's not a voice that intrigues or interests me and considering the album really works best as a showcase of that voice...

Luckily Ella has a legion of devotees so she probably wouldn't have minded too much missing out on me.
